Local Nutley Church Experiences a Fire Loss

Most fire-damaging events are not epic in scope, but flare-ups need some cleaning and restoration. This church sanctuary located in Nutley had such a minor fire that was quickly put out by using a Dry Chemical Powder portable fire extinguisher. The agent used to smother the flames was mono-ammonium phosphate, a fine powder that can be an irritant if inhaled. Our SERVPRO technicians used respirators for personal safety during the cleanup of the dust. It was Saturday morning when we received the call. Since We're Faster To Any Size Disaster, we responded swiftly, assessed the circumstances, and developed a game plan which we immediately implemented. The alter, 32 rows of pews, the carpeting, and hard surfaces all needed to be wiped down using various cleaning products and techniques.
