Fire Damage from Extinguishing Powder in a Nutley Church
We received the emergency call early Saturday morning to help with a fire-damaging incident that had just occurred at a local Nutley church. We pulled up in our Green Fleet soon after that; We're Faster To Any Size Disaster. The Before Photo depicts the residue from the fire extinguisher covering the church alter area. Our SERVPRO team set to work using HEPA filtered vacuums and air scrubbers to remove most of the dust (only about ten microns in size) from the air, wood, tile, and upholstered surfaces. We mopped and wiped where needed and placed air movers to hasten the evaporation to achieve the preloss condition of the sanctuary quickly. We placed a hydroxyl generator to neutralize any remaining smoke odors and the indoor air quality IAQ was reached in time for the scheduled Saturday evening services. The After Photo illustrates our efforts to help our community, "Like it never even happened."
